As lot of information is thrown at you during the appointment, let's recap how the process works.

For instance, my code name would be KOSREN, (KAREN KOSIES) Next, here is a list of the abbreviations and what they mean BACK/SENT ~ "X" = petition has been filed and the documents are back in my possession and ready for the other party to receive them; EZ = process server is attempting service; M = copy has been mailed by regular mail; CM = copy has been mailed by certified mail; PUB = service by publication and summons has been mailed to newspaper. SRVC ~ Date service is complete. D.DEF/M.ODR ~ If this is a Divorce, Legal Separation or Paternity Petition, this is the date the other party's time is up to file a response and pay a fee to contest the divorce. Court records are checked on this day before the Application for Default is sent to be entered by the court. Don't forget that the other party is also mailed a copy at the same time. If this is a Petition to Modify Child Support or Petition to Stop an Order of Assignment, this is the date the other party's time is up to request a hearing. Court records are checked on this day before the final Child Support Order documents or Order to Stop an Order of Assignment is sent to be entered by the court. HRNG ~ If this is a Divorce, Legal Separation or Paternity Petition, this is the date the Default Hearing may be attended. You should received your final court documents. If this is a where there was a hearing requested, this is the date of the Hearing. KIT/CLS ~ If this is a Divorce, Legal Separation or Paternity Petition, this is the date your final court papers were either M = mailed or PU = picked-up or you filed is closed for whatever reason. Any other matter, this is the date your final documents were mailed after processing completion or your file has been closed for whatever reason. Of course, anytime you see CONTESTED, this matter has been contested. Pima County Documents are usually taken to the court to be filed on the first Tuesday or Thursday after you were in the office. Court Fee Deferral documents are sent to the judge for review before being filed and that can take up to three (3) weeks longer. |
