Vintage Boudoir Bed Doll "Maria Ellena" may appear to be an "anita" type for her sweet look and smaller size but she is actually marked W-K-S Inc. making her one of the earlier dolls dating late 1920's early 1930's. She measures approx. 27". She has composition breastplate head and hands. Her face paint is very nice but there is some what I believe to be factory flaws here and there. The cloth body does have some surface dirt but has been mended and patched as you will see in the photos below. It is stuffed with dark cotton. Her lovely dress is very well made from an original pattern of the time (but not by me) and features a stand up collar. Crinoline & pantaloons were added for a finished ensemble. She does wear stockings and has new leather shoes. Her hair is very soft black mohair, covers the head with some sparse areas & appears to be original. She has vintage flowers in her hair.
